I took this while traveling through Xian, China on my autum break while at Renmin Daxue in 2004.
That afternoon, I chose not to carry a map with me as I wandered through the worn in streets of the ancient city. By accident, I walked into exactly where I was wanting to go - the Muslim Quarter. It was also on this street that I sat with Erik from the Globaltrip and talked over candied crap apples and plum juice. Xian is one of the few places that I felt fate working her magic through the method of meaningful coincidences. I think that the greatest part of traveling and encountering such coincidences is finding the hidden correspondences wrapped in experiencing them. |

By the time you come home
I’m already stoned
You turn off the TV
And you scream at me
